Patrick Tedesco
I, like you, live in this fallen world where life can be beautiful but is too often complicated, confusing, hard, sad, and painful.
For many years, I reached out for hope and help only to find moments of relief but nothing that lasted. Medication brought temporary relief and ineffective counseling left me with a list of things to work on and try. I felt like I was walking through life patched up but not whole.
God did not miraculously come in and change all of my circumstances, instead He began to transform the very place from which all of life is lived—my heart. I found real hope and experienced true joy in a profound way through the rescue of Jesus Christ. I humbly understand that I will continue to live out my life in this fallen world, but I am compelled to come alongside others in the difficulties of life and help them realize the transforming work of Jesus Christ.
Since those days, I have trained as a biblical counselor through The Christian Counseling and Educational Foundation, an affiliate of Westminster Theological Seminary. I began counseling in 2017 to help people find healing, help, and hope in the redemptive work of Jesus Christ.
Some of my life’s experiences include divorce and remarriage, single parenting, close family members with substance abuse, destructive and co-dependent relationships, financial struggles, and the death of parents.
My experience in a ministerial capacity includes two years in an outreach ministry to at-risk youth, facilitating a Divorce Care program, preaching/teaching at a small, rural church for two years, teaching Sunday school in both adult and young adult classes, and biblical counseling.
My wife and I live in Charlottesville, Virginia, where I have resided for the past 40 years.
